Can I connect an external mic to a camcorder without a mic jack but with a headphone jack?
I have a camcorder that allows me to connect my headphones, but it has no mic jack, is it still possible to connect an external mic?
I have a AIPTEK p-HD(portable high definition) camcorder
A headphone socket is only for plugging headphones into and not a microphone. As said above you may be able to hard wire a microphone to the inside of your camcorder but you will need to know what you are doing and it will invalidate your warranty. Better get a camcorder with a mic socket.
