How much should 2 people working together charge to clean a house?
I know there are a lot of factors in determining a price. So I'm just wondering what is a good way to determine a fair estimate. Charge by the hour? By the size of the house? And remember, there are 2 people doing the job ...
People like a flat rate. Don't ask me why.
Charge 50.00 for a "complete" clean include: windows, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, general tidying ( making beds, picking up dirty clothes, organizing magazines).
For large apartments and small houses this should take two people no longer than 1 1/2 hours. You could add in dishes and a load of laundry for 25.00 extra.
I think upping the cost by 25.00 for larger houses , another 25.00 for two stories (etc) is fair.
If you want to do hourly 25.00 for two people- unless you're professionals it'll be a hard sell otherwise. The middle class consumer is just like that.
